What is Move-in?
Flex Move-in is a one-time service that lets you pay your move-in costs (like your security deposit, application fees, or first month’s rent) online with a US debit card. No need to get a cashier’s check or money order!
Currently, Move-in is only available at select Yardi properties. If you don’t see it yet, you can join the waitlist!
How does Move-in work?
Step 1: Verify your move-in costs
Review the total amount due, including your security deposit, first month’s rent, and any fees.
Step 2: Pay online
Use your debit card to pay securely in minutes.
Step 3: You’re all set!
Your property is notified right away.
How much does it cost?
Flex charges a 1% fee based on your total move-in amount.
For example, if you’re paying $1,000 in move-in costs, the fee would be just $10–usually less than what you’d pay for a money order, and way easier.
What if I am already using Flex to split my rent?
No worries – Move-in is a separate product you can use to cover upfront move-in costs at your new place.
Just don’t forget to update your property info in the Flex app after you move.
Does this affect my credit?
Nope. Move-in isn’t a credit product, so your payment won’t show up on your credit report and it won’t impact your credit score.
How fast does my property get the payment?
Payments usually go through right away!
If your property doesn’t see the payment within 1-3 business days, our support team is here to help!
What if the submitted Move-in payment was incorrect?
Only one payment can be submitted to the property management for Move-in. This means any differences will need to be settled with the property management.
- If you overpaid your property management when using Flex Move-in, you will need to reach out to your property for a credit or a refund for the overpaid difference.
- If you underpaid your property management when using Flex Move-in, you will need to pay the difference directly to your property management.
What method of payment can I use?
At this time, we can only accept US debit cards.
We cannot accept:
- Credit cards
- Prepaid cards
- Bank accounts/ACH
